Subhadra Yojana: Release Date Announced by CM Mohan Majhi
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced the details of the highly anticipated Subhadra Yojana on Friday. Women between the ages of 21 and 60 are eligible for financial assistance under this scheme. The first installment of ₹5,000 will be credited directly to their bank accounts on Rakhi Purnima.
What Is Subhadra Yojana?
Last month, the BJP government, led by CM Majhi, set aside ₹10,000 crore for the Subhadra Yojana in the 2024-25 budget. The scheme aims to support women from families with an annual income of less than ₹2 lakh. Around 79.14 lakh women from 65.25 lakh families will benefit from this program, receiving ₹5,000 twice a year.
How Much Will You Receive?
Eligible women will receive a total of ₹10,000 annually, split into two installments of ₹5,000 each. To ensure the process runs smoothly, banks will perform a small test transaction (penny-dropping) before disbursing the full amount.
Who Can Apply?
To benefit from Subhadra Yojana, you must meet the following criteria:
- You must be a woman.
- You must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Your family’s annual income should be less than ₹2 lakh.
- No government employees should be part of your family.
